I'm not sure if I should, could someone tell me if I'll be suitable?

-born and currently live in the uk (and despise it), although I lived in Indiana for a year when I was younger,

Upper middle class,

Im currently doing gcses which are:
music, dance, drama, maths,English, german, history and duel sciences (general science)

I've been told that in most of those I will achieve A-A* in the actual exams

I speak fluent german and quite a bit of French,

I've been doing drama dance and music for many years (10!), and I feel I can let go and touch people when I perform, en pointe ballet and everything

Going to apply for: us: Yale, Princeton,Columbia, stanford and harvard Uk: ucl, Oxford, Cambridge, south Hampton and reading

I go to an exclusive grammar school for girls

You have a shot, but it’s hard to assess how good a shot from the information in your post.

If you get all A* or A, and if those grades translate into strong scores on the SAT or ACT, and if you can make a case that you’ve shown passion and very high achievement in one or more of your artistic interests (drama, dance, music), and if you write a really strong essay, and if you have teachers who will write very positive recommendations, you’ll be competitive for Ivy admission. It’s still hard to predict if you’ll get into any given school because the admission odds are long for just about everyone, but you’d at least be in the running. (One wild card may be the current unsettled state of UK higher education – that might cause more UK applicants than usual to think North America.)

If you haven’t already, you might also want to consider Penn, Brown and Chicago.

What are your ECs ad other achievements?
What are your passions and focuses?
And of course there are essays.
But of course you have a chance if you can show that you have a strong background beyond the field of academics.

I’ll get really good recomendations from teachers (they all like me )
My passions are performing arts and I’m quite good at writing about myself I’ve got certificates and medals and stuff for drama, dance, singing and gymnastics, and the great thing is NO ONE I know has even heard about Yale or harvard or know what an ivy league is! If they did they wouldn’t move that far away from families and friends, but I don’t really care about that also could I qualify for financial aid? My parents earn around $75,000 a year. Thanks.

You’ll definitely qualify for aid. Quality over quantity - write about your passion for something in your essays. Hope that that’s what the school wants.

To early to tell man (woman…). You need at LEAST to know your GCSE, SAT, SAT II results. Of course, and what you are taking for A levels, what sports you are doing what your recs will say etc are aso important.

No-one can tell you. Just do the best that you can and take the shot.

Basic levels I would suggest to be in the right AREA. All a’s for A level, 2200+ SAT. A’s A*s for GCSE. Your gym, singing etc is important too.

You would need to pay only about 5 000 pounds if you got in (I am sure of that because my family earn the same and that is what we are paying for next year).
