holy crap. you've got good chances!

i guess i'll be competing againt you for the spot man!

You look like you have just about as good a chance as anyone. It's not a good chance, but then again, no one has a good chance. :)

Edit: haha, I guess this is contrary to namkim's belief.

naw your thoughts match my thoughts.

also I was deferred from Duke, and my rank is barely top 10% so I thought that would be very bad

Wow, your scores are all actually very similar to mine, and I go to MIT.

And Duke rejected me.

So your rank isn't high. You have good grades and good SAT and AP scores and all that, you can't hit them all. Ready guys- I'm going to make an example!!!

This is CONTEXT. (waits for you to all finish groaning)

ckmets has all these great scores, but a not-so-great rank. Scratch that, I think it's fine but you're all a little crazy so few of you would probably agree. Anyway, this obviously backs up the fact that he goes to a competitive school, which is also reflected in the high number of APs. MIT is smart. They can figure that out. There not going to hold it against you because you go to a smart school.

And frankly, MIT is a longshot for everyone, even the most competitive. The applicant pool is just too huge. Plus, you never know until you try.

P.S. I hope the "mets" in your username refers to the NY Mets, because that would totally make my day. I love the Mets. =)

i had like the exact same stats, i should hope you have a good chance :)

yes it does refer to the New York Metropolitans :)

bump......

bump.......

Any chance of CK referring to Calvin Klein? I just got Obsession Midnight, and it made my day.

Haha.
