<p>if i could go anywhere, it would be MIT, but I know its a longshot so I didnt apply early
do I have any chance?</p>

Rank: 38/449 (very competitive public school, about 1200 SAT average, #34 was accepted ED to Brown)
AP: 5's on Chem and World History, 4 on US History
IB: 6 on Math Methods SL</p>

<p>You look like you have just about as good a chance as anyone. It's not a good chance, but then again, no one has a good chance. :)</p>

<p>Wow, your scores are all actually very similar to mine, and I go to MIT.</p>

<p>And Duke rejected me.</p>

<p>So your rank isn't high. You have good grades and good SAT and AP scores and all that, you can't hit them all. Ready guys- I'm going to make an example!!!</p>

<p>ckmets has all these great scores, but a not-so-great rank. Scratch that, I think it's fine but you're all a little crazy so few of you would probably agree. Anyway, this obviously backs up the fact that he goes to a competitive school, which is also reflected in the high number of APs. MIT is smart. They can figure that out. There not going to hold it against you because you go to a smart school.</p>

<p>And frankly, MIT is a longshot for everyone, even the most competitive. The applicant pool is just too huge. Plus, you never know until you try.</p>

<p>P.S. I hope the "mets" in your username refers to the NY Mets, because that would totally make my day. I love the Mets. =)</p>
