Any chance of getting into penn with a 3.7 GPA?

If I have a 2250 SAT and strong leadership and afternoon activities?

Weighted or unweighted?

weighted -----------

GPA alone doesn't really matter. It depends on your rank.

oh yeah I also have a question about rank, what makes up your rank? grades only or level of class / grades?

and finding my rank I'd have to go see councelor right

3.7 weighted is pretty weak. If you're out of the top 10% in your school, I'd say your chances are VERY slim. Penn accepts very few applicants out of the top 10%.

rank only matters....if your school even gives rank...some schools dont...my school only gives weighted gpas and thats it

sorry i meant unweighted.. what was i thinking :P

Does anyone know how I could find out whether or not Wake Forest University accepts the ACTs ... Im trying to put together some fall back schools and I was wondering whether they accepted ACTs or just SATs

just looking @ Wake's application, it says the SATs are required.

The Wake Forest application is basically death though, just to warn you.

What do your parents do at Penn. You said that they "work there?"

haha other board I see, well my dad is some sort of professor of microbiology whereas my mom is a research assistant prof.

Yes, well, that certainly doesn't hurt.

I had a 3.67/3.7 and I got into Wharton ED this year, so there is hope! Just write one amazing essay for them!

yeah i second shreveport87 ... i got into SAS ED with like a 3.4/3.5 and i know people who got in ED with lower.
