<p>Obviously the music department likes All-State high schoolers what with their "invitation only" Honors Wind Ensemble summer band camp, so one would assume they'd be tickled pink if one of their camp kids decided to apply at UT. Are there any music scholarships for non-majors?</p>
<p>I was a 4 year All-Stater and am a current music major. At least in the strings department, performance scholarships are only offered to music majors. I'm not entirely sure about the other departments, but you can check with Anne Hall who is the school's administrator of scholarships (her email address is <a href="mailto:amhall@mail.utexas.edu">amhall@mail.utexas.edu</a>). One of my friends has a Longhorn Band scholarship and i'm sure there are several similar organizational scholarships.</p>
