Hi Guys! I recently completed high school and applied to three colleges. I got accepted into Bowie State University and the place is ok. Even while I am African american, I didn't want to attend a HBCU...I want a more diverse college experience. I want to transfer in 2 years to a school like Georgia Institute of Tech, Illinois Inst of tech, UMD College Park or an UC University due to their highly reputable computer science/engineering programs. I don't think I will ever get into those programs even if I do well here because the computer science program here is average. To a great dismay, I got at 1510/2400 on SATs and never took the ACT. I will be starting college next Tuesday. I believe I could obtain a significantly higher score on the SAT if I took it again and most tell me that the ACT is a lot easier than the SAT. Should I retake these test to earn a better footing. I would take in Dec. Also because of my high school guidance office I was misplaced and stuck to take trig my senior year when I was supposed to take Honor Precalc. I have tested into Honor Precalc at my current university and a lot of the schools stated above that it is highly recommended that I complete Calculus 3 before transferring for junior year. Is there a way I could test out of another math class during later semesters to catch up. Is there any hope for me? please help!

Add UMass Amherst as well since you said that computing was your thing.
