Any chance with 25 ACT and 3.9 UW GPA?

I completely choked on the ACT.

Applying to LSA.
ACT 25
UW GPA 3.9
W GPA is 4.1
I am in-state.
My father went to Michigan.
I know my essays, recommendations, curriculum strength, and extra curriclars were all good, its just the low ACT score. I know people who have gotten in with scores in that range, but I haven't heard anything yet, and am getting a little worried.

Do I have a legitimate chance of admission?

Did you apply EA or RD? What about the SAT? I’m guessing that ACT will put you out of the running, but who really knows?

I applied ED. I didn’t take the SAT. My cousin got in two years ago with a 26, and nothing remarkable to make up for it.

The ACT score is near the bottom of what they will accept but the GPA is good. The answer to the question is that I know for a fact that U-M has taken students with your stats so I suspect you have a chance but I couldn’t tell you how good of one. I would not say you are a match. A lot will depend on where you go to high school and what U-M thinks of your high school, your course selection and your transcript. I think the test score is less of a factor for in-state students than OOS because they are familliar with most of the high schools. Good luck.
