I'm a white male and I go to a small public school in the middle of nowhere in Massachusetts.

SAT: 690v, 680m, 690w
SATII: 610 Literature, 700 Math I
GPA: 3.9 weighted
Class Rank: 4/109

I've taken all the hardest classes possible but my school doesn't offer that many APs. I've taken AP Chem (3 on the test), AP Language (4 on the test), and AP Envi. Sci (5 on the test). This year I have AP Calc and AP U.S. History and some other honors classes.

Main Extracurriculars:

-President of National Honor Society
-Treasurer of Student Council
-Vice-President of Class
-Special Olympics Coach
-Band/Jazz Band and other musical activities
-Steady job at the local coffee shop since 10th grade
-Soccer throughout high school (not very good though)

My recommendations were good but I have no idea how my essays are. I wrote an essay about my science fair project and winning first and third place.

If anyone could let me know what you think I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

you're test scores aren't that hot, and the first three officer positions you listed are notoriously known as popularity contests, but that shouldn't put you out of the running. Your gpa is fine; In my opinion, it's about the essays.

I'm not too cool with your essay topic though, I think they're looking for who you are more than what you've won.

In my essay I also talked about how the science fair sparked my love of science that continued through high school. Hopefully that makes it a little better. I agree that sometimes Student Council and Class Officer are popularity contests, but I like to thinkt that NHS means something. Anyway, there is no use in discussing it anymore. Now that the acceptance rate has dropped to 25% I might as well just send in my application for the local community college.
