you definitely have the gpa, leadership, sports, etc.; i'd say the only thing going against you is that you are out-of-state (well, and a white male) which does make it somewhat harder. honestly, i don't think you should retake the act- it is higher than your sat score and highly qualified for UC Berkeley

Your weighted GPA and test scores are fine but your unweighted GPA is a little too low. Nice EC's though. I'm not going to guarantee you anything but it looks like you have a fair chance at Cal. However, don't take these "chance" threads too seriously... I was told that I had almost no chance at neither Cal nor UCLA and I ended up getting into both. Just keep up your grades senior year and work hard on your personal statement.

Your GPA is on the low side (remember that you will they use a UC GPA, which only allows for something like 8 extra points for AP/Honors classes). Your ACT is good (except the Science section...), but your SAT I is also on the low side. Try to shoot for 2100+.

What's your major?

my major will be economics.

Also, Does Cal superscore the ACT, because i got a 28 on science at another sitting which would bring the composite up to 33 superscored. I really need to study that science and try again though.

"Superscore"? I never heard that term before...but on the UC application you're asked to list your highest scores for each section that were from a single session (so you can't mix and match scores from different testing sessions).
