Excellent recommendations (my History teacher and my Physics teacher)

i know my SAT writing score was garbage, will my ap language grade make up for it?

Chicago doesn't care about SAT writing.

Your scores are excellent, and I assume you're a Michigan resident, in which case I envy your instate options. :-)

Here's why I (and maybe others) resist posting pure "chances":
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-chicago/403810-before-you-post-your-chances-thread.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-chicago/403810-before-you-post-your-chances-thread.html</a></p>

My other bit of advice will be to think about what you want out of a school and what Chicago specifically has to offer you. That's something that's never self-evident from a chances thread, but it's something that you should answer for yourself privately and it should come through somehow in your application. Just like employers like to see prospective employees who "fit" somehow with the job they are applying for and with the company, I think it's bonus points for you if you can express clearly why Chicago is a good "fit" for you.
