<p>Hey guys, </p>
<p>What do you think my chances are at getting into UCD?
I am a Junior in a rather competitive high school in California.
I am hispanic and I would be the first in my family to go to a University. (My sister is at a community college and does not have plans to transfer)
I have taken mostly CP classes with a B average and I have taken 2 Honors classes.
Next year I will be in 3 AP classes and 1 Honor class and I will have completed French 3 and Spanish 4 by the end of my senior year.
I have not taken the SAT yet, which leads me to my following question:
What SAT range should I aim for?
Thanks in advance</p>
<p>GPA: 3.1 Rank: 207/637
ECS: Student Body President for my senior year
JV Soccer 1 year and Varsity Soccer possibly senior year.
Secretary of French Club and Good Guys Club.</p>
<p>real talk man…</p>
<p>you need to get like an 1800 or maybe higher
your gpa is pretty low and extracurriculars arent great. but still you are hispanic and colleges pay attention to race. so write a good essay, you never know some colleges look for things other than academics. PS. there was this girl in our class who got into berkeley and she isnt that smart. but her heritage helped her get in plus she was involved in many clubs, wrote an essay about her struggles, etc.</p>
<p>Hey dii3ggo,</p>
<p>I’d agree with jerrberr, work on that GPA/SAT score. Here’s something you can look at</p>
<p>[UC</a> Davis: Admission Criteria](<a href=“http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admissions/fr_selection_process.cfm]UC”>Freshman Application Tips | UC Davis)</p>
<p>There used to be a list of things that you could determine your “score” and then your chance of getting in. If I find it, I’ll post that here.</p>
<p>Hope that helps :)</p>

<p>These are all excellent accomplishments and will add to your points total. Is the 3.1 your UC GPA or your overall? Have you experienced any hardships? Let us know your UC GPA and see if you can add up how many total semesters of a-g courses you have. What major are you interested in?</p>
<p>UC’s don’t use rank.</p>
