Check out Questbridge (google it). It’s a special application, a non-profit organization, with which Wes is a partner. It’s basically an opportunity to present yourself in the application if you play your cards right, “Hey, I’m low-income, I had challenges and I’m still awesome. Pick me!”

I already looked at Questbridge. It seems like it’s more toward people who make less than my parents do. Although we don’t make a lot, I don’t think I could write a full essay about hardship in my family.

wesleyan has need blind admissions, being low income would not help or hurt your chances. the financial aid is definitely something to look forward to, calculate your EFC (estimated family contribution- theres a calculator on collegeboard which im sure youre very familiar with) and expect to get something close to that from Wesleyan. I think how much I am paying for wesleyan is only about 1000-1500 dollars higher than my EFC, while an offer from Wheaton College (norton, mass) was approx 8000 higher. Boost SATs up to around 2100-2150 and youll prolly be a very good shot- everything else looks pretty good
