I am an international students from Mainland China, where I think is quite difficult to apply to U.S. It’s not convenient for us to take SAT. It’s not advancing to get through the verbal parts.
I’ve got poor score on my verbal and writing.
CR 480
Maths 780
Writing 500

SAT SUBJECTS
Maths 2 : 760
Physics: 630
What kind of LAC or Us can I be admitted?
I don’t think Bowdoin will be mine.
Could you guys gimme sum suggestions?
Thanx A Lot

And there are few students in China apply to LAC. Few of them know these terrific collegs. Could it be a chance to my diversity? Could it be my advantage?

Bowdoin doenst require the SATs...therefore its better if u dont submit ur SAT 1 score as ull CR and Writing scores are very low..and way below average.

I am pretty sure u wont be at a disadvantage if u don't submit ur SATs...so take this opportunity..

well, clearly SAT I isn't the best test for you. i think you should look at schools that either do not require SAT I (bates, bowdoin, bard, mount holyoke (the last one assuming you're a girl). Or you can also take a look at schools that ask for only SAT II scores or give a choice between submitting SAT I or SAT II scores.

follow the above link and you can download a page that has a list of all the colleges using the common app (go to the option saying: E. Download the College Deadlines, Fees, and Requirements Grid)

it states what scores a college requires. that could help you.

i think since you're from china, you should check out the Chinese Thread in the International Students forum. there are a lot of helpful chinese applicants there who can understand your situation better. best of luck! :)
