***Note: I've been hearing different things on this, so I wanted to clear it up: if my great uncle went to USC, and still donates to them every year, does that do anything for my chances? Is it legacy?

Chances: don't know but it's going to be tight. Do a search and check out the "Stats only" thread from this year's acceptances. You can also check out the 2007 USC Profile- http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/private/docs/admission/Freshman_Profile_2007.pdf

Legacy: you are not a legacy. Search here for "legacy" if you want more info about that.

Good luck!

I want to suggest that you take the ACT (if USC accepts the ACT in lieu of the SAT) and see how you score. Get some good study prep for re-taking the SATs and compare with your ACT score. Then send the best score. If your SAT is higher, send that score. If your ACT is higher, only send the ACT score (if USC accepts the ACT). I suggest focusing on your writing awards. You have really nice extra curriculars which tie in with your interest in English. Try your best senior year.

^^^
I agree. Try the ACT. I almost recieved the same score for my SAT and the ACT was alot better for me. I think your ECs are good. Capitalize on your love of Literature and English because it definitely shows. Make sure to write an amazing essay. Good Luck! :)
