I'm a Canadian student in sophomore year. Last year, my grades weren't too good. My average was 88.
But this year, I'm expecting something around a 90-92 average.
I'm president of trivia club and in ukulele band. There are no honors or AP courses offered at my school though I'm preparing to test for AP Psych next May. I'm expecting a score of around 2100 on my SAT.

Do I have any chance of getting into Princeton?

Not really. You would need more AP classes and AP psych won’t really even matter as an AP class. 2100 is only a mediocre score. Sorry to be harsh, but you should apply elsewhere.

If you are only 10th grade you have lots of time to work on grades and EC’s! Admissions looks at how many opportunities for advanced course work, not the total number of AP’s you have. If you take everything you can, admissions considers this in their decision making. My son had only one AP course (which he self studied). You certainly have enough time to consider the self study route for a number of AP’s if you so choose.

Focus on getting that average well into the 90’s - Princeton does not use 9th grade marks in admission consideration anyway. Find what you are truly passionate about and LEAD and show initiative in what you love. If you can excel in a heavy academic environment while pursuing things you love, you will be a viable candidate in a pool of many other very qualified candidates. At that point it comes down to how admissions reads your whole package and whether they feel you really are a good fit or not. No matter where you end up you will have the satisfaction of knowing you did your best! Go for it!!
