Hi, I’m an international transfer applicant for fall 2018.
My stats:
College GPA: 3.81
major: Econ
prereq gpa: 4.0
IELTS:6.5
Volunteer experience about fundraising in Bangladesh. (Our team has built total 5 elementary schools in Bangladesh.)
I’ve earned 96 credits and associates in business degree so far, and will be 101 credits by fall.
I think my personal statement is pretty normal.
I never really understood the chance thing because I’ve seen people with a 3.3 GPA get in. In my opinion stats don’t matter when applying to a school like UW. My stats aren’t that impressive but i’ve still got a chance just like anyone else since they view applications hollistically. Your stats are impressive, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get in. Just being honest! Your essay also counts in the process as well as the improvement you’ve made from High School to college! Best of luck to you!
@9820520 From what I know, your IELTS scores have to be 7 or higher to be considered as a competitive applicant. Other than that, your scores are pretty impressive.
