honestly, not much. low sat and pretty low gpa for harvard.. none of your ec's stand out. btw, national honor roll.. is a joke. it's not something to put on an app. i've done it too.. it's worthless.

Your SAT is very, very low for HARVARD. But that's not your question. The answer is yes, the chance is there that you will be accepted, only that the chance is really small. However, I disagree with harvardhopeful05 in that I notice your heavy involvement at the Mosque. This brings a new perspective to the university where diversity is the key. I encourage you to harp on this singular point, make the best of your essays, and perhaps get a letter of recommendation from your religious leader (please excuse my ignorance).

ZZ3

P.S. please evaluate my chances which are in both the "Princeton" and "What are my chances?" forums

Thanks Valdez, I actually wrote my Essays and Common App Short Answer about my involvement with Mosque, I think I will get an LOR from the leader. thanks for the idea, i didnt think it wuld matter much, I guess it will.

The way I look at it, everyone has a chance, but some people have better chances. I have virtually no chance, nor do you or practically anybody. Things are so competitive these days that no one really has much of a shot. I'm not trying to get your hopes down, but you, nor anybody, should get them up in the first place. Best of luck to ya.

well, that said i think that in these times one needs to be careful about religious/political views. so it might be wise to be aware of it and make the necessary caveats.
