any cheap preparation for unprivileged

does anyone know any SAT test preparation for unprivileged student?

Thanks

Get a test prep guide book from either a bookstore or from your public library.

lindagao,

The SAT website itself should have practice materials, including a whole test: <a href=“Downloadable Full-Length SAT Practice Tests – SAT Suite”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board;

The official prep book itself is about $20, but you can find old editions for less than that. Many libraries will have copies you can work from, and your high school counseling department should have some practice tests also.

As far as learning, the Magoosh website is an excellent resource, as well as Khan Academy and Sparknotes.

I hope this helps,

Go here <a href=“SAT Preparation - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/</a> and look at Silverturtle’s Guide and Xiggi’s Test Prep

Khan Academy is going to have a specialized prep program for the new SAT, which I think will come out in January 2015. My kids will only get the prep that I give them or that they do on their own.

the classic test prep—second hand prep books. some can come really cheap. dont always use amazon,consider buying from seniors. I like to use less mainstream sites, but knowing the person is always the best (free shipping). some ppl will even give u the books.

Number2.com, a free online prep site, was rated by Consumer Reports above all pay sites.

College Board provides its service free for students at low-income high schools. Check with your guidance department, but I think CB has some info about free access on its test prep site.

^^Yes. Taking tests under test conditions should be part of any prep regimen–although also recommended is first taking some tests with no time limit or even open book to learn how the questions work and what’s necessary for a correct answer.

If you decide to take the ACT, consider picking up the ACT BOOST CD-ROM from Amazon.
