I'm just curious since I haven't seen ONE person that was a classics major yet! ANYBODY?? and what are your stats???

Yup, I applied to UC Berkeley and UCLA; I was admitted to UCLA so far. My stats are as follows:

GPA: 3.85
IGETC: Finishing last 2 sciences
Clubs etc: Few history clubs
Essay: pretty good
Units: 62 after this semester

What are your stats if you don’t mind?

what are the pre-reqs for this major? and what possible careers can stem from this? im interested, i love greek mythology and stuff like that… but know nothing about the major

I was admitted into UC Berkeley, and will attend.

My stats are above as you can see.

I plan on changing my major to Sociology when I get to CAL, but when I applied I was planning on using the classical civilizations degree to apply to law school.

If you have any questions just ask.

Hi! I too would love to transfer into Classical Civilizations, but I’m not sure what classes count as prerequisites for UCLA. I’m guessing Philosophy 12: Greek Philosophy and English 250: Mythology and Lit. are two of the classes; I’m not sure what to take for the Roman Civilization prereq. Help please? I already checked ASSIST.org, and there are no classes specified there.

I’m going to UCLA as a Classics major. 0 prerequisites aside from the whole IGETC package.
