Hi, I would like to know if you have any suggestion on colleges that will accept me. I’m a senior right now and would like to apply to out of state, but not sure on my major yet. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I gladly appreciate any suggestions.

GPA: 3.54 W(10th to 11th) 3.7 W (9th to 11th)
UC GPA: 3.19
Extracurriculars: 100+ hours tutoring children at local library program, MESA, former historian for MESA, current MESA captain for MESA Think Tank, Science Olympiad,former treasurer for Science Olympiad, former president last year for Science Olympiad, FBLA, treasurer for school’s service club, and research/biomedical program
In state (CA) Asian female
Received a D first semester of AP Biology and recieved 5 C’s overall on transcript
APs: Human Geography, World History, U.S. History, Art History, and Biology
Awards: AP Scholar, FBLA 8th in regionals, MESA 1st Regionals
The USA has thousands of colleges. Most of them would accept you
(other than some of the 75-100 or so most selective schools.)
What is your budget?
Is your family able and willing to cover the Expected Family Contribution for the kinds of schools that interest you?

California probably has the best state university system in the country.
You’re likely to pay a big price premium for out of state public universities, which generally don’t offer much need-based aid to non-residents. Some private colleges offer more need-based aid, but only if you qualify for both admission and for aid.
