Also what is junior level? I am an incoming senior but I don’t believe my grade is what you’re referring too. Sorry if I come across clueless.

UMich has two tiers of tuition, and they count AP and similar credits. So, an incoming frosh who comes in with 45 credits from AP or whatever, will have “junior standing” and be charged “upper division” credits after the first semester…once the student has more than 55 credits.
The tuition is about $4k more per year, once a student has 55 credits (including AP, etc).
