ANYONE PLEASE ANSWER!!! I AM SO DESPERATE AND I HAVE NO DIRECT IN LIFE
Without an SAT/ACT score you are limited to a small number of test optional schools. And stop yelling.
Oh sorry, I had no idea my caps were on. I am in the middle of an assignment. Im sorry. Btw, as an act score i got a 32. Is that decent?
A 32 is very good for most schools, not the Ivies of course. Browse through CC in the threads for colleges that interest you. There is a lot of information on here. except for some specialized schools, virtually all colleges will provide a good preDental education.
Thank you very much! I find that advise very helpful. If possible, what colleges would be for me?
What you want to study, what kind of campus setting you like, and how much you can afford all matter. Eureka, Bradley, SIU, UIUC, U Chicago, Illinois Inst of technology, Illinois State … All these are different from each other - rural, urban, engineering, liberal arts … And so on.
Your question, while clear in your own mind, comes across a lot like someone telling a waiter to bring whatever the waiter wants. The waiter won’t usually do that.
Dental school is expensive, so you need to talk to your parents about a long range plan to achieve your goals. It might make the most sense to attend a public, in-state university to save money for dental school; although, your ACT plus grades could net you a merit scholarship. I would look at Midwest LACs that offer merit aid.
If your parents will qualify for need-based aid, then you should look at schools that meet full need. Keep in mind that EFCs can be high.
You have good grades and a very good ACT. There are many schools that would accept you.
Ah pre-dental. Kept thinking it was a typo of presidential. Sorry,
For pre dental, I recommend a prestigious state school. My sister went to Rutgers New Brunswick for pre dental and is now at UPenn for dental. Your ACT score, your GPA, and your extracurriculars qualify you for a great school. However, if you plan to go to dental school I suggest going to a school that costs less money. Rutgers often offers scholarships, along with many other schools. I suggest UNC chapel hill for you as well, although it is competitive. But since you’re in Illinois, save money by staying in state. UIUC, UChicago, etc are all great schools, and it’ll help you aim for an Ivy dental school if you do there.
