<p>For those who plan to transfer or have already transferred, I would like to ask a question:</p>
<p>Considering there are about 11 math and science pre-requisites for Computer Science(UCLA), about how long does it take one to transfer?</p>
<p>General Chemistry I
Calculus 1
Calculus 2
Multivariable Calculus
Linear Algebra
Differential Equations
Mechanics with lab
Electricity and Magnetism with lab
Waves, optics, and thermodynamics with lab
C++ Programming</p>
<p>These are the prerequisite courses listed on assist.org... It all seems a bit overwhelming.</p>
<p>Also, if you did succeed in transferring.... How the $%^ did you do it?!</p>
<p>I’m not doing comp sci, but I’m in a related field. </p>
<p>It’s going to take me 3 years. I’m a first year freshmen and tested into pre calc. I’m about to take calc 1 this spring, so I won’t be able to do physics 1 until next fall. Naturally it’s gonna take me an extra year so I can do physics 3.</p>
<p>I see. I’m in a similar situation as you. I tested into precalc as well. I enrolled into precalc both my fall and winter semesters but dropped (without a W) because I feared jeopardizing my GPA; I’m also taking precalculus this spring.</p>
<p>Oh you’re on a quarter system, that should make it easier. You gotta get on it though dude and start passing your classes. It’s easy to get A’s as long as you study.</p>
<p>I’m actually on a semester system; my school has a short winter semester (similar to summer semesters.)</p>
