Any consequences of missing the priority deadline?

Does anyone know?

This year Princeton has only one application deadline: January 1st, which means you should submit everything postmarked by Dec. 31st. If you send something Jan. 2nd or 3rd it will still be accepted, but your application gets put at the bottom of the pile...so why would you not have submitted EVERYTHING by now?

Do you REALLY want to go to Princeton or is it just a prestige thing? Students who really want to go (and who get accepted) will not be procrastinating! At least, if I were an admissions officer, that's how I would look at it.

Beginning with the Class of 2012, Princeton will offer one decision program. The final postmark or electronic submission deadline is January 1. We encourage applicants to submit their portion of the application by December 15, if possible. Applicants will receive their decisions from us by early April.

Ill have my app in by today or tomm. Just wondering if there is any consequence of submitting on the 17 instead of the 15th.

im in the same situation, ill have mine sent out by today. i dont think it makes a huge difference, they really want you just to know that if you send it in before the first you will have a better shot at getting an interview

same. a day or two after the 15th should be fine. it's more important to have a solid application on the 16th than to rush it on the 15th. that's my logic
