My son received an unexpected corporate scholarship ($1K) about 2 weeks ago - didn’t even expect it since the corporation wasn’t even listed as a sponsor.

My daughter received a Special Scholarship offer from UPS (James E Casey Scholarship) through NMSC, dated April 28, 2015, for $2,000 per year/renewable.
Congratulations, @remom01! My son got that, as well! However, we’re CSS Profile filers of lower middle class income, so it is likely the amount may be as high as $5000 a year. That’s what happened with my oldest son.
So, if you guys qualify for financial aid, send the Profile to National Merit so they can determine if the amount will be higher.

My son found out he’ll be getting $6000 a year for his James E Casey scholarship-woot! Apparently, only 4 winners from our general geographical area. We’re so grateful!
