Any deferred students get accepted to Northeastern yet? I need some help/opinions

I was deferred from NEU after hearing there was something along the lines of 20,000 EA/ED applicants this year. I know of a good number of people that have already hear back regular decision. I’m pretty sure it’s my top choice for college, but I’m afraid I won’t get in. Here are my stats if anyone was close:

My SATs were on the lower end being 1940 (610 math, 670 writing, 660 critical reading), 610 math 1, 680 US history

Cumulative weighted GPA: 3.9, 1st term GPA: 4.33. 2nd term GPA: 4.43

6 AP classes (more than my school allows but I completed certain requirements early): 5 on APUSH, 3 on Biology, 4 out of 6 of my current classes are AP, I’ve taken all honors classes until APs became available Junior year

I have a lot of extracurriculars such as National Honor Society, student government, captain of 2 varsity sports teams, service trip to ohio, work experience, a lot of volunteer service activities (Catholic school), and more

After I was deferred I got 2 more character letters from NEU alumni and wrote a letter of intent to the associate director of admissions in charge of my application.

Sorry this was long, but I’m really doubting I’ll get in at this point because everyone else seems to have much higher SATs or GPAs than me but everyone’s opinions count so it’d be cool to hear other people scores if they got in.

Heya Brendan. My d was deferred EA last year with scores similar to yours. She was accepted into the NUin program. So there’s still a shot. Applications numbers keep going up so best of luck. If you have any questions, lemme know.

Brendan - I would say you are really close - if not for your math SAT, you would have a good shot of getting in. Because you applied early, they already know you are interested, but there are probably over 55,000 applications this year, so competition is stiff. I think it’s also got to do with which school/major you chose, and your geography. My son got in EA with a 3.75U/4.1W, and a 2080 SAT, when there were many kids with better stats from NY/NJ/MA getting deferred or denied (we are from CA). It sounds like you’ve tried to bolster your application by getting alumni recommendations, I’d also stay in close touch with your admissions rep to let them know it’s your top choice (although it’s getting a bit late in the game for that). You do have a great resume, and I’m sure you will have some good choices at the end of the day, best of luck getting in.
