<p>If it's ecology that you don't like, then I think you'll be able to avoid it. There is an upper division ecology class but it's an elective so you don't have to take it. There used to be a lower division ecology class that was required, but I think the curriculum has changed since I was in school and I think they got rid of it. There are also courses in animal and plant biology that you can probably avoid. </p>
<p>There's no way around chem, though. You'll have to take a year of general chem and a year of organic chem to satisfy the bio/premed requirements. And Biochemistry has a ton of chemistry involved as well (hence the name). I guess you don't have to like chem, you just have to do well in it.</p>
