I'm taking AP Human Geo now as a sophomore, and my teacher says we can also register to do concurrent credit with the Geography class at the local community college. There's no cost and it doesn't require anything additional besides registration, and we're still taking the AP exam at the end of the year. I just don't know much about concurrent credit except that a lot of colleges out of state don't accept it. Since it's an AP course too, is there any downside to filling out the form and using it as a concurrent-credit class?

I just need a “yes, because ___” or “no”! D: Anyone?

Not that we have found. It will be like AP credits at colleges, some will take them, some will not. If there is little to no charge, then you should do it. If you have any thoughts of getting a degree at the community college, the concurrent credit is not likely to count as an AP transfer credit…so you can use more AP credits. Most CC’s have a 30 AP tx credit max. Your HUGO would not have to be included in the 30 credit count. BONUS!
