I got accepted a couple months ago, and I was wondering who else did?

I visited this university once, and I must say it's gorgeous!!!!!!
Can anyone tell me what I can do during my fun time and is the science department great for medical school hopefuls? I'm just curious; since I grew up in the city all of life. I wanted to travel somewhere new, but does it also get isolated at time on this very great hill? Thank you in advance!

I know an oral surgeon (an M.D.) who went to University of the South; there are undoubtedly more physicians who attended, so I wouldn’t necessarily worry on that score.

As far as recreational activities, there are outdoor activities in the Domain and there is a significant Greek social component on campus. My friends in the know tell me that alcohol consumption can be pretty outrageous; but that is a matter of choice for the students. Like most campuses, you find your own comfort zone with those things.

@Cuo2014: I also should mention that Chattanooga, which is the closest city, is a 45-minute drive away; it has a fairly decent downtown (restaurants, aquarium, AA-baseball park). But you will need a car, or access to a car, in order to avail yourself of that venue.
