Still waiting to hear about early action decision...January 31st seems really late to notify for early action. The website said Jan 15th than Jan. 31st. I guess they really meant it. (All the other colleges my son applied to had a date, but he heard a few weeks earlier for each of them.)

Nothing in Ct, I told my girls not to expect anything before Feb.1st. My son applied regular decision a few years ago and got his acceptance in March, not too much of a difference. I do find asking about the mail with some hope every day though.

Nothing in Massachusetts either. Hoping to see something by early next week. My son’s other EA school sent out letters about 1 week earlier than expected:)

Good luck everyone!

If you follow Marist on twitter they posted on the 25th saying it would be a sprint but they are still planning (hoping) to send out notifications at end of this week…

5 hrs ago they posted that out of “5000 Early Action applications, nearly 500 still need review”

hovermom - thanks for the update. We can stop checking the mail box until next week.

Thank you also, that was helpful. Stonehill did that also on Twitter and it was nice to have an idea of what was going on.

I emailed admissions and they said all early action letters were being sent out on Jan. 30th so we should probably get them during the first week of Feb.

It will be a long weekend!

For all following this discussion… An hour ago the following was posted on twitter.

“The first half of our EA decision letters are heading to the Post Office! 2nd half in mail this PM”

hovermom - thanks for the update! Maybe we will know by tomorrow? Are the options: accepted, denied or deferred?

thank you for this!!

The closer you are, the better, but they probably wont get processed until Saturday and then some will sit until Monday. I’m not updating my daughters from “the end of next week” so they wont be disapointed or worried if it doesn’t come.

Nothing in Ct today.

Nothing in Albany, NY either.

Boyfriend just got deferral in Westchester, NY.

Nothing on Long Island.

My son’s not home, but we got a large envelope from Marist today. We live in Westchester, NY.

I am in Southwestern CT and I got my acceptance letter.

Congrats…did they include any aid with it? Is Marist high on your list?
My girls have it in the top 4, it switches in line weekly. : )

Is your son a strong student?
