<p>Just wondering when ED admits can expect to see the "fat envelope". Anyone know?</p>
<p>Last year they “forgot” a bunch of people.</p>
<p>My S was one of them (and a few friends too)… just call and remind them about the EA/ED pool and ask for your package.
It’s a keeper.</p>

<p>Are they including CMU tartan magnets this year in the fat package or some other trinket? Wait, i think they sent the magnet with the deposit confirmation.
A free tshirt would be great - hasn’t happened yet.
On orientation day you get a ton of goodies- mugs, notebooks, pens, bags and I got a “proud parent” tartan hat which I love!</p>

<p>We got bunches of cool stuff from SCS when DS graduated last year - and some nice trinkets at the Alumni reception (including license plate frames).</p>
<p>I never got a parent hat but did get plenty of parent pins!</p>
<p>I think all he got with the fat letter was a car decal. But don’t even ask about the 60 or so free T-shirts he accumulated over 4 years of college! And the loot from the job fairs…</p>
<p>Oh and the NTIA NTIE sights have free downloadable ringtones in the Tartan fight song too!</p>

There are even raffles for big ticket items like xboxes!</p>
<p>I have those proud parent buttons too- the hat was a great find-- there were very few of those-- in a box behind the guy giving out gifts to new freshman registering for alumni status-- he gave me a hat! Nice hat!</p>
<p>That’s true-- you get shirts once on campus-- I forgot about those. But the high school senior needs one now to wear to high school!</p>
<p>I applied RD and got my “fat envelope” today but I live near Philadelphia so I guess I’m kind of close by. Carnegie told me “At this time, we have already mailed decision letters.” today in an email so I guess they should be coming pretty soon to those who haven’t gotten it yet

<p>I got it today! Although I did check online to see my decision a couple days ago and it was there. I have to say, it was definitely the best fat envelope I’ve received! That thing is awesome. Yes, there is a Tartan magnet! It’s towards the back, in the last section.</p>
<p>My kid is not a trinket collector. I had to beg for a window sticker-decal.
I had to buy the hoodies on his graduation.
Picked up a CMU pen from the neighbors hallway trash on the day we forever left CMU.</p>
