In order to make an April 1 receipt date, letters would need to be mailed by Friday to reach the west coast. Anyone receive anything yet? If you live near Richmond, please post when you receive something. Good luck all.

I haven’t gotten anything. I thought people would have gotten letters by now but not yet I guess.

Just phoned admissions for my D. They indicated they are running late this year and that letters will not be sent until next week sometime. Since she indicated they will not likely meet the April 1 deadline (particularly for people on the west coast), I asked if they would post online since many families may want to visit the following week to finalize decisions and it’s obviously hard to make travel arrangements if you don’t know whether you’re accepted or not. (And, one of their Realize Richmond dates for admitted students is Monday, April 4.) It didn’t seem like they had a plan beyond mailing the letters, which is disappointing.

D received an email from admission counselor saying how cool it is to be a Spider…selling the school, etc, etc…am assuming that means they want her even though no official letter yet! disappointing to have to wait so long …hope they lilstened to your reasonable request regarding visiting the colleges for acceptance day…advise you to make your reservations anyways as long as they can be cancelled…had a hard time getting a room at one college!

Thanks Mangotree for the info.

UR has a bannerweb acct for the applicants (not all schools do), so it is unfortunate that they cannot attach a copy of the letter to the account, or at least a thumbs up/down/sideways and some FA numbers, since the system is already in place. We got that Spider e-mail also; however, I would not read too much into it other than that UR is treading water to maintain interest while the applicants hear from other schools. W&L and Davidson release their decisions tonight and tomorrow morning via bannerweb.

Yeah I think that email was just mass mailed by admissions. I wouldn’t read into it.
