Does anyone have any idea as to when the EA decisions will be released? The EA deadline was 12/1 and I have found that decisions should be released around February, but what has been the tradition in the past with UConn's release dates? Any ideas?

They are already rolling out decisions.

I got accepted today! It was a total suprise, I got an email two days ago saying that I would be notified in 4 weeks, and then today when I got home my letter was in the mail! I am a CT res.

i cant take the wait. when were your guys’ apps completed according to uconn’s website?

Mine was completed November 3rd, and I have yet o hear a response. I guess that they only respond to the students who are either extremely qualified for acceptance or extremely not. They did say that they will respond in early January though, and maybe in late December.

D applied October 13, and STILL no decision! :/

We found out Saturday afternoon by checking the website that D got into Honors. Her application was complete October 27. She hasn’t received the official letter yet though.

well its not like I can even check cause the websites still down for me…

I applied and sent everything before the December 1st deadline, but it said my application was complete December 8th. Am i still considered for EA??

In past years did it seem like they were sending out decisions to instate people first? Has anyone noticed that pattern this year?

I am pretty sure they are notifying those who are extremely qualified first, telling them they are accepted into the honors program (which you do not apply for). This is regardless of in-state or out-of-state as I have already heard and am out of state and know other OOS who have heard as well. Because UConn says they do ‘rolling admissions’, decisions could come at anytime. There is no one date they are releasing their decisions. They are probably reviewing their applications for high ACTs/SATs and GPAs and immediately admitting them / accepting them into the honors program. Then they will review the rest of the applications more in depth and making decisions & notifying as they go along.

^ I don’t agree with that statement. I have very strong stats (in-state) and I haven’t heard back yet… my application was completed on 11/1…

From my classmates who have heard back, the rolling admissions seem pretty random.

I also think it is pretty random. My daughter has a friend who applied after she did, and is a good candidate, but not an extremely strong one. She has heard back, but my dd (ACT composite 33 or 32—I forget if she applied before she got the higher score) has not heard a peep.

you need to have your app in dec 1 and your paperwork in dec 17 @ joe9245y2745y20640136… you’re fine
