Any Ethnomusicology majors out there???

<p>What was your audition like? Did you just show up, play, and leave? That was all I did. I felt like I had forgotten something.</p>

<p>Same, it felt more like an interview though… they asked me many questions about my future goals and interests, etc.</p>

<p>What specific major did you apply for? I applied for jazz studies. They asked me like 2 questions. It was really more like chit chat for me.</p>

<p>How was you guy’s audition? What did you play/ what did they make you do?</p>

<p>My audition was really weird. The website said to bring a CD of backing tracks and prepare a solo piece (guitar). When I got there, they had a band so there were a few awkward minutes because I was so confused, and the auditors had no knowledge of the website. So I just called out a couple standards and we jammed on those and that was it.</p>

<p>I’m bumping this because the wait is killing me. Does anyone out there have anything to say about the Ethnomusicology supplement website? What did you all put for the “relevant extracurricular activities” portion? </p>

<p>You know what, how about this. Is there anyone out there that wants to share anything about their application or audition experience so I don’t have to feel so alone? haha. It would be very comforting to hear other people’s experiences.</p>
