Any exper with Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier Int'l at Univ. Laval or Abbey Road at Univ of Laval for

summer immersion program in Quebec? Desperately looking for feedback about these or other similar programs in Quebec for a high school student. Thanks!!

I don’t have much luck with this forum. Is there another one here where I should post? Parent’s Forum?

I believe that their French immersion classes are for students that have already been admitted to an undergraduate level - not for high school students.

Admission to French Immersion
French immersion courses are available to all non-francophone candidates admitted to an undergraduate non-limited-enrolment program and who need help in French.

If students are required to take prerequisite courses for their program, these courses will be incorporated into their French immersion program. When a large number of prerequisite courses are mandatory, the required level of French at admission will be higher than for other programs without prerequisite courses.

I know that Middlebury runs an immersion program in Quebec for high school students. The problem you may run into is if the student is under 18, many colleges/universities won’t let them take classes unless it’s part of an organized program for high school students.

@LoveTheBard Thanks for responding. Both programs I mentioned have specific summer immersion “camps” for teens. They are held at the university though. Laval has their own programs for college students. I’m not sure Middlebury has a prog. in Quebec this summer lke it has before, but I’ll check again.
