Any formalities after ED

Now that I've all have recovered from the full effect of December 15, 5pm, I hgave some q's. Do I still need to give my mid-yr report? Does Cornell still reserve the right to strike me off their rolls? you know stuff like that... And a short talk on the 'Seniorities'... thasts what its called i think... would be appreciated

cornell wants your mid year report, but if you don't give it, they won't do anything, (at least not to me) if you have a good academic record, it shouldn't be a problem, but as long as you have As and Bs and even a couple Cs it's fine. getting your acceptance rescinded is extremelly rare...you pretty much need to fail school.

Cornell does reserve the right to strike you from their rolls, but like i said, you'd have to commit a felony or literally come close to failing school.

Senioritis: don't worry about it...if you're smart, you can probably get Bs in almost all your classes with minimal effort, which is good enough. Just enjoy life, enjoy learning, and don't stress about school anymore. Don't quit school, but you don't have to grit your teeth for an A all the time either.

that's what i was worried about too. ever since friday i've been hooked on reading posts here and ignoring my finals studying...

a lot of people in my grade are getting senioritis, but i don't think i will. basically they just start skipping classes or don't do homework.

my gpa dropped about 7 points senior year, don't worry

It's not a big deal, is the thing. If it happens so be it. You'd have to be fairly academically irresponsible to skip all your classes on a regular basis or not study for finals, etc.

The nice thing about being accepted is it takes all the pressure off. You can not worry about studying or making it to every class. If your grade drops to a B, it's not a problem at all. Don't stop working or being a student, and don't stop trying. You can just be a little bit more of a slacker than your usual, very motivated self, and have a bit more fun during the rest of your senior year.

Still treat school as the same thing it was before though.

yea, I guess I should mention that it dropped to a 91, not like a 70.

You should still take AP classes seriously though, to get college credit, and any college level classes that you could test out of at orientation.

Otherwise, coast child.

You just destroyed the hopes of all of those kids with 77s applying to Cornell.

hahaha. maybe you don't have the best shot if you apply with a 77, but if you drop to a 77 after getting in, that's fine. Do enough work to do well on the AP tests. Your course grade doesn't matter as long as it's a B or maybe a C in some courses.

ugh.. it sucks being the only one of my friends that knows where theyre going. Everyone else is still working :(
