Hi
I'm a rising freshman studying in George Washington University in DC. Now I'm majoring in math and have already got credits from AP Calc AB and BC, and I want to transfer to business school in sophomore year. I do not have any class on either Monday or Friday, so is there any chance for me to get an intern or to involve a research? I know that internship is super important, but hard, for freshman students.
Any advice? I would really appreciate your replies!

Research at GW, especially for STEM, is sparse due to the majority-adjunct teaching faculty. But an internship is definitely possible. Sign up for the House of Representatives internship listserv; those are usually pretty easy to come by. However, the majority of freshman internships are unpaid and are pretty far from glamorous – social media intern (updating Twitter, essentially), communications, and/or marketing.

What industry are you interested in, and do you have any relevant experience from HS to back that interest up?

Not really. The good internships come in your third and fourth year.

Thanks for you reply. Do you know any intern associated with economics or finance? Thank you:)

Or any for computer science?
