<p>Without knowing your university, it’s hard to say whether your GPA would be deemed acceptable. At my university, you are required to have a minimum of 2.6, but most chapters will not take you if you have below a 3.0. For sophomores, many chapters have minimum GPAs of 3.2. In addition, even though they say the minimum requirement is X, they are not required to take anyone above X, they may have their own internal standards, which vary from chapter to chapter. Your GPA is low for sorority women, who, on average, have higher average GPAs than the ugrad and all-campus numbers. Finally, if you have such a low GPA, can you handle a sorority? What caused you to have such a low GPA? If it is partying or an issue with time management skills, a sorority may not be for you.</p>
