any good California community colleges?

I am planning to move to california. Which school would you all suggest?

Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill.

City College of San Francisco :)

some notable good ones:
Diablo Valley College (as mentioned above)
De Anza college, Cupertino
Mount San Antonio College (Mt. Sac), Walnut - only because it's sooo big
Santa Monica College, Santa Monica

avoid:
San Jose City College (on probation from accrediting agency)
Evergreen Valley College, San Jose (same reason)

i attend santa monica, it's good academicly. If u're looking for a rigorous studies, it's perfect for u. I heard some people say it's on par w/ a lot of the univ academicly b/c most professors have expirience teaching at UC and have Phd.

But it's crowded and has parking probs. Hard to get a's there in science classes.

they are more or less all good...

what about orange coast college?

NO better school than Pasadena City College. Check it out www.pasadena.edu :)

You might want to consider that Diablo Valley College has the highest transfer rate out of all CC's to UC Berkeley.

I've taken classes at both Pasadena City College and Mt. San Antonio College. And I have to say, Mt.SAC is much much much better. Pasadena may have a better transfer rate and all the stats to back it up but that's only because it is filled with all the students who didn't get into USC/UCLA first try and think they are too good to be going to a community college and get out with 4.0 GPA's as soon as they can. Mt.SAC pays their teachers more than any other CCC and the teachers I've had have been really amazing. I had so many fun classes and made lots of good friends. They've also been one of the only CCC to stay above all the recent financial problems that the other schools have been having.

Highly recommended.

what about good colleges that are near to the beach?

OCC is a great school. It's very close to the beach and all the girls there are unbelievably hot. A lot of the professors at OCC are very laid back and once I even had a professor who brought a surfboard into class because he wanted to go surfing after the lecture. How cool is that? I'm going to miss the laid-back atmosphere at OCC since I'm going to USC in the fall.

Hope this helps.

SMC is cool but not too sure youd want to go to any of Santa Monica's beaches they are all pretty bad.

Venic beach is weird, but SM beaches are nice next to the Pier.

SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE

duh

isnt it like top 5 CC in the country?

you live in isla vista with ucsb kids and PARTY...

oh and they have good transfer stats i think. get a 2.8 there and your auto into ucsb

Go to OCC if you want to be close to the ocean/have good classes/fun people ect. I've been there for a year and Its great. Awesome teachers, some teach at USC, (Mr. Garrison is fabulous).

DO NOT go to El Camino college, in Torrance. Well, I guess if you want to get a high GPA without a lot of work you should go here. If you like diversity and ebonics, this is the school for you. I would suggest going to Santa Monica college, ive heard so many good things
