Any Good Colleges in NY?

Hello,
I am in the process of signing up for colleges (I know its hectic :D). I am very interested in the medical career and need a college that would set the grounds to achieve the goal. I have researched colleges in NY (will not move out of NY) during these past months and I have formulated a list of schools. This list mostly contains SUNY (Sophie Davis, etc), CUNY, and Private Schools (Columbia, etc.). I am pretty sure that there are many people here that are going to attend colleges in NY this fall. As a result, I do not think that my list is complete without the CCers inputs :)

Please list some schools that you would highly recommend,
Thank You so much—this is very important to me, it sets my future

You could try the University of Rochester.

Nyu .

Cornell. Overall med school acceptance rate here was 77% and for those with a 3.4 or above, 86%.

NYU, Columbia, and Cornell have all been taken into consideration. Is there any other school that is worth applying to, or is this the end of the list?

Thanks

I have a friend who wants to enter the medical profession who's going to vassar right now.

I live in NY too! I want to go to college in NY as well, since NY is the greatest city to live in. I don't start applying to colleges for another 2 years though.... Go to Cornell. I know a guy on the Admissions board there. His name is Dr. Flores. He's a surgeon at MSKCC. He's my role model.

SUNY Geneseo. :D

NY is definately a nice place to attend college. I will certainly apply to Cornell. I have heard wonderful things about it so why wait. :D

Any more colleges would be nice.

Colgate and Vassar are in New York, too.

great schools.. if anyone has anymore just let me know

Thanks

Might not be the best school for pre-med, but Syracuse University is an outstanding school...

And, in case you suddenly change your mind about your career plans, there is always West Point. :-P
