any good engineering school in the state of New Mexico?

The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology!

New Mexico State isn’t that bad either, but it isn’t on the same level as NMT.

New Mexico Institute Of Mining & Technology is the best in New Mexico

thanks for your suggestions :-)

at first I think New Mexico Tech is not good because its ranking is low…

how about the reputation of this school national wide?

New Mexico Tech is highly underrated because it’s such a small school but in the engineering community, it’s very well known. People in general may not know about it but the engineers know it!

Actually, NMT is ranked 16th among master’s universities in the west - none too shabby.

Anyway, the ranking isn’t what really matters. Most engineers I have talked to have heard the name, though Colorado School of Mines is a bit better known up here. A look at their placement (in both jobs and grad schools) shows that the name is obviously good enough.

NMT is especially known for its Magdalena Ridge Observatory and it’s partner for the observatory is the prestigious University of Cambridge in England

^ Being located next to White Sands can’t hurt either :P

The best bet for someone wanting to stay close to home in NM would probably be the Colorado School of Mines.
