I am just now searching some schools in state to transfer to next year for Fall 2018. Does anyone know any good nursing schools in South Carolina?
Most states post a list online of all of the institutions approved to offer BSNs and their first time pass rate for taking the nursing exam. The SC list is linked above.
These numbers are sometimes skewed because some colleges make it hard for their marginal students to take the exam. However, a low pass rate college should be avoided - sometimes the programs lose their accredition if they consistently have a low pass rate.
The vast majority of BSN programs in the southeast US are not direct entry - you have to compete for a spot during your sophomore year. It might be worthwhile to add a couple direct entry colleges to your list, but you will probably need to go out of state. Keep in mind that sometimes private colleges can be close in price to public colleges, if you are eligible for substantial merit or need based aid.
