I mean, do you think 53-54 are 800 for M, 65-67 800 for CR, etc.

i think math will be a really bad curve… it seemed a lot easier than all the other real tests that i have taken… I remember last year in november -1 for math was a 760. i thought this test was a lot easier than that nov test… soo id say the curve for math is -1 750-770

i got 3 math wrong lol

Math curve is always harsh. You pretty much have to get all the questions right to get an 800.

Both times I’ve taken it, I’ve missed 2 and got 790s.

MrSudden: You mean -2 is 790 for CR right?

I think he means for math. MrSudden when did you take them?

the math curve in jan '09 was -2 for 760; in may '09 it was -1 for 800, -2 for 770

EDIT: nevermind. not sure if my facts are correct.

kmtt, i think it may have to do with whether or not you got a grid-in wrong. i’m not sure though… i just hope -1 is still 800.

Yeah I got one mc and one grid in wrong. Can I still be 780+?

this is a very cool link:

http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

you’ll notice that historically, october has had a generous curve esp in CR (where -3 including error deduction–so 2 wrong, 0 omit–is 800)

Do universities consider the curve score or doesn’t care?

I think the math curve is going to be extremely harsh…much harsher than normal. It was way too easy. Usually there are a few problems on the math section that makes me scratch my head but this time I always had 5 minutes extra, even after rechecking my work.

Ha I am terrible at math, I know I left at least 7 blank and probably got about 10 wrong. I’ll probably get like a 500 but I think my CR will be okay I think I may have only gotten 4-5 wrong and no blanks.

I think for Math this time, it might have been really easy, but there were particularly lots of room for stupid mistakes.

I know I made at least one grid-in stupid mistake this time…

October is usually the worst curve for math. I predict 0 - 800, 1 - 780, 2 - 750.

i got one grid in wrong…i should be fine though for 750 +, hopefully the curve is a little nice…lol

I think I got 3 wrong, one grid in on MATHEMATICS. Which is a 51 RAW SCORE converted. Do you guys think that because a lot of people take the SAT October since it is the last ditch effort to take the SAT even for the less “smart” the curve will remain the same? A 740-750 for math? or will it be VERY VERY VERY low? Can someone give an estimate score for 51 raw score?

What do you predict writing to be if 3-4 are wrong with an 11/12 essay?

What about the CR section,
I found it sort of tricky, and from what I’ve read, other people seemed to have bashed it as well. So would you have to get like 8 wrong to be at 700?
