<p>I will be very, very honest here.</p>

<p>Your SATII scores and GPA are solid, but I must say that in the most selective institutions, many of the applicants will have have similar statistics and numbers. How do admissions officers decide between the hoards of numbers? They look at the ECs. </p>

<p>Intel (at what level?) and publishing Poetry anthology are quite impressive, but commonly found in other applications, and almost everyone does hospital volunteer work. Therefore, your ECs are fair, but not astounding.</p>

<p>But what you lack is a leadership position. </p>

<p>Here’s a suggestion. If you do like science, (which you do, judging by your ECs and SATII scores) why not found a Science Club or a Science Olympiad team at your school?</p>

<p>And just in case, I would retake the SATs and try to break a 2300+, if you have time, that is.</p>

<p>Sorry if I sound like a downer, but this really is my best piece of advice for you.</p>
