I’m pretty sure you all heard the same story with a parent forcing a student to a certain major either because of pa/ they do it themselves. Well my mom wants me to be a nurse and got accepted to one school with that and might be going there.
The reasons why I don’t want to do it is because I feel like who I am as a person?
I’m pretty quiet and observant rather than talkative so idk if that would be good. I’m also not interested with having direct patient care but my mom said I would get used to it once I start? I don’t want to change my major until I’m sure what I would want to do.

I’m currently a physical therapy major!
Once you get to your college/university in the fall, I would ask other students about what other healthcare related majors are there. You should also pay a visit to the health science (or related major) department office and talk to the dean. S/he may be able to help you.
Honestly, this isn’t something that I’m all too familiar with and given the fact that you’re more introverted. But, from my personal experience, you have time to develop as a person so maybe you can become more extroverted when you get to college (it happened to my close high school friend/roommate). Give it some time for right. Think about it. See what you want to do with your major/career path once you arrive at your university.
Sorry I couldn’t give any better advice, but I hope this helped and best of luck! You got this
You should volunteer at a hospital this summer and see what you do and don’t like about nursing.
I think all of the health related fields will have a lot of people contact. Except medical coding -which you don’t necessarily need college for and it is a bit stressful.
My Daughter is getting her Masters in Public Health. Most people with that degree wind up with Administrative or desk jobs.
I think volunteering at a hospital is a great idea. I am not really extroverted but worked as a nurse for 10 years. I did change a lot as I got into nursing -so your Mom may not be completely wrong about you getting used to it.You get braver and more confident with experience. However if you really don’t like it you won’t be good at it.
