I'am taking my license test in 3 days. I'am currently live in Florida and I would like to know anyones driving test expericense please post them up and any post will truely help. The only thing iam worrying about the when i park because it seems like i can never park straight in and i'am worry about me hittin the cones and will fail...any tips that would help me not hit the cones such as when to know when my parking is correct and when to turn the steering wheel when parking...also is there any tricky mistake that people would make and get point taking off.. thank s for your help!

Hmm.. Look behind you and learn how to 'feel' your car's space -- skill which comes through PRACTICE.

I'm in FL....

Just make sure you have a wide enough angle when you park in a straight space.

I am a fantastic driver, but I failed the first time. It was nothing I did though. On the 3 point turn, if your tire leaves the paved road, you get an automatical failure. My dad and I knew I shouldn't have failed... we looked in the state guidelines, and the 3 point turn road has to be like 32 feet in width... the one they tested me on was roughly 22. So my dad called Tallahassee and got me a free retest... I passed later that day. No big deal.

You don't have to worry about parallel parking. Just go to a big parking lot and practice parking a lot. It helped me...

And straight parking is ridic anyway... everything should be angled... haha I still mess up straight parking every now and then, after 3 years of driving.

I agree! All parking should be angled..it's so much easier.

My one tip would be to just look around all the time at everything. I have friends who failed because it didn't look like were looking around. Look around you as you cross intersections (but not so much as to put you in danger or anything) and check your mirrors and when changing lanes make it OBVIOUS that you are LOOKING BEHIND YOU like no other.

And also when you are parking (though I'm not good at it), remember to make a sharp turn (don't jerk the steering wheel though) and as you're pulling into the spot adjust the wheel so it's straight, so that your wheels aren't crooked.

I failed my first test since I couldn't back out properly..there were too many people, I was nervous and I was in this spot that was right next the curb and it was tripping me out. I did pretty badly the second time too but I passed..I think most of it was because I was driving too slowly.

Yeah..straight parking is stupid...I still can't get it and I've been driving for 2 years....parallel parking, however, is even more stupid.

Hahaha here's some advice for you - when the test administrator asks you to turn RIGHT, you should NOT put on your left turn signal and start to turn left.

I still managed to pass, though.

I passed today, almost failed though.
We don't have any cones or anything, I guess its different there, here we just use back roads.
Just exaggerate looking and stuff. That's where I got most points taken off, she said I didn't wait long enough, or didn't look long enough. :P
If I can pass, I think anyone can, though.
Also when I parallel parked I had the car in reverse so when I went to pull out, it was still in reverse because I forgot to put it in drive, so definately make sure you don't do that. XD I thought she was going to fail me for that.

I'm great when I have to park in between two cars, but not when theres nobody around. My parents would kill me if I hit another car so that puts a lot of pressure on me to make sure I don't hit anything, but I have too much room when I'm all alone.
You can get some cones and practice in an empty parking lot if you're that nervous.

definitely make it clear you're looking around, not just using mirrors.
one mistake I made was after parallel parking I was so happy to have survived parking I didn't use a turn signal pulling away from the curve... make sure you always use signals.

After parallel parking, make sure you change the gear back :) whoops. If you have to park on an incline, put your emergency brake on and turn your wheel the right way. If you're a girl or have long hair, pull it up in a pony tail to make your looking around/checking mirrors more obvious. Straight parking sucks, I agree. Don't start to turn into the space too soon, I guess. Practice helps more than you think... :)

so as soon as you failed one thing u automatically fail?

dont hit the curb when parallel parking

It depends on what you do wrong.
Here, hitting the curb while parallel parking is 5 points, but running through a stop sign means you automatically fail.
The only thing you'll automatically fail with are major traffic violations, like hitting another car or running a red light, etc. :P

in florida we dont parallel park..all we do is straight in park with 2 cones in the front and back...but i cant seem to know when to turn my wheel and park in straight..should i turn it when my nose of the car is in the middle of the cones and back more from the cone..
