I give up.

Everywhere I look, there are thousands of scholarships and contests for
math/science geniuses--Google tells me so.

But why is it so hard to find essay contests or scholarships for
history lovers? There's USAMO, IMO, RSI, etc for math lovers but
why (almost) nothing for history lovers?

Could anyone bother to take a second or two to tell me of a few?

THANKS :] !!

Have you tried scholarship databases? I’ve found quite a few essay contests (not really history per se, but quite a few about social issues and such that are similar or related to history).

I consider the JFK Profile in Courage Essay Contest partly history and partly writing. Before you can write a good essay, you have to be able to come up with a noteworthy figure in history (granted, it’s a small and recent frame of history). Even though this could be accomplished with research, I think it’d just be easier if you had a natural passion for history.
And if by some chance you live in Texas, there are UIL competitions for practically every subject under the sun.

What about History Day, given that the prizes are small up until the State Level…it might be worth a try! I really had fun researching my project.
