any HoJos?

it seems like not a lot of incoming freshmen signed up
for HintonJames :(

my roomate is a soph.. which kinda worries me.
some ppl say a soph roomate can help u a lot with everything,
but others say that if ur a frosh , a frosh roomate could be better..
hmm..
HintonJames (south) was actually my 2nd choice cuz
i wanted to meet new friends/(i'm an international student
so i think i'm gonna have some hard time making friends;[ )

hope i can hang out w/ awesome freshmen

From my POV, you are at a disadvantage if you want the "freshman experience". However, your roommate will probably be able to help you out with some things. Plus, living in Hinton James... you'll meet plenty of people in your suite. So, no worries!

sewat, where are you from? (just curious...)

Also, don't feel negatively about your staying at HJ as a freshman...B'cause the Freshman experience ALSO involves being successful in academics while making the best use of all the resources available, you will certainly be at an advantage. Your sophomore roomate porbably has a lot of experience and CAN HELP you A LOT. Also, this may make up for your being an international student as most students here are instate and have friends going here from their own school. So, it's great that you have an experienced soph. roomate to back you up...! Good Luck!..

When are you international folks coming on campus? Aug. 16th/17th...
I am an incoming Freshman too, and I hope to meet some of you soon...!

TTH.

i am a sophomore that got put in hinton james and paired with a freshman roommate. believe me, housing this year was incredibly screwed up, and that wasn't my first choice. i think your "freshman experience" is all in what you make it, and if you go in with a bad attitude, you will have a bad outcome.
