I was contacted by a harvard interviewer a week ago. Normally, there are no interviewers in my country - according to harvard's website - and I later found out that there is a woman who does interviews in my country on harvards "request" and she was not available. The interviewer who called me turned out to be her husband and he too was a harvard alumnus (not from the college, but the business school). When he called me he told me that the university had sent him a 28-page document to go through before doing my interview so it was kinda like a crash-course on interviewing students. I guess the university really wanted that interview. It lasted for two hours at the end of which my interviewer said he had to "cut it short"!. He gave me very positive feedback and even went to tell me "I think you will do extra-ordinarily well at Harvard" Supposing he does say that on his evaluation, how far will the impression I left on him go with the committee? Also, is this interview just cause harvard wants to know me better or does it say something significant about my application.
I know one girl from my country who got into harvard and I don't think she had an interview. Assuming that this is true, what is a possible reason why harvard wanted the interview?

any thoughts?

They want a reason to not accept you.

^lol.

They just wanted an interview. don’t look too much into it. Interviews don’t matter that much, i’m sure you already know.
