Any "Huskies For Sure"?

Just wondering who is attending this fall without a doubt in their mind...

i am still deciding if its the right place for me.. in state.

just let us know if your goin for sure and whether you are in state of oos.. and maybe why you chose UW!

thanks!

UW Seattle for sure. In-state.

I just really like what I'm hearing from those with experience (like Proud Husky and all the parents).

i have a question.

I seriously only have been to washington once in mylife... and like seriuosly in an area right pass by the bridge that connects oregon and washinton.

but anyhow, how's the weather up there?

I live in oregon btw

I'm in state and I'm for sure going. I wasn't really planning on it, but Imy family just can afford out of state schools right now. I'm still excited though, UW is a great school!

as for the weather...it's mostly cloudy with frequent, but light, rain showers. But when its sunny, Seattle is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. More so than a lot of California

I was mostly concerned with the weather (rain in washington) so I was thinking about going to Penn State..

hmm I "heard" (rumor) it rains ton.. i don't want to get depressed. xp

I'm going for sure, and I'm in-state. I'll admit, it's partly because I can't afford to go to the privates I was accepted to, but I'm really excited for the UW. I wanted to go into health sciences anyway, so it's probably a smarter choice than an LAC anyway. :)

I sent in my new student enrollment deposit last week. Go Dawgs!

registered for everything needed, good to go!!!

thats great all of you! ayone else...

ah i still dunno. i am going to visit a frat on thurs, so maybe that will help me decide.

I'm going to go to UW Seattle Next Year! Go Huskies!!! I'm from Orange County, CA

qtipkorea4u, Washington State and Northern Oregon has essentially the same climates.

And no, it does not rain a ton. That is a complete rumor. Check wikipedia for more specific climatic weather patterns in the area. You will love Spring and Summer in Seattle, especially with the spring blossoms in the Quad.

I think it's about the same as oregon too. I'm from Portland so I think it's kind of funny when people get freaked out about rain.

Rain-wise I'd think Portland and Seattle might be similar, but temp-wise, portland is warmer. Just visited The Quad with my daughter who has decided to attend UW. It was so stunning with the trees in bloom that it brought tears to my eyes, and I'm not even a cry-baby!

My son just paid his enrollment confirmation fee. He is also OOS from OR. Did anyone register for their Advising and Orientation session yet? My son says he needs to wait 2-3 days after he did his enrollment confirmation. Among the colleges he was accepeted to, UW is the least user-friendly in terms of what the next steps are. Thanks in advance for any responses..

We are also from Portland and paid the fee last Sunday. By Tuesday, we were able to register for Orientation. Your MyUW screen changes once they process the fee and it directs you to register for a session.

UW for sure. In-State

I picked UW because i wanted a good public school in-state and even though WSU accepted me with a $5000 scholarship, it's just too far away and in the middle of nowhere. I love Seattle and it's a quick hour and a half to two hours away.

I just went up yesterday for a freshman information session (didn't really learn anything i didn't already know) and a campus tour. The tour was amazing. we walked around campus and got a good feel for the campus and the community . We even got to see the Quad in full bloom. Unfortunately i forgot my camera in the car because we were running a little late.

So definitely UW. Not a doubt in my mind. I have to pay my $250 deposit soon and apply for housing as soon as i get a cell phone (you need a cell phone or buy a landline to apply).

PS: Does anyone know how to pay the New Student Enrollment and Confirmation Fee online?

@ bjm121, if my memory serves me right, you have to pay through check. So you fill out the info online as if you're writing a check.

Thanks, c0nnection! Just payed. (:

anyone else? i am about 90% sure i will be attending UW.

yeah, definitely attending UW, I'm instate but I just moved here a year and a half ago so compared to NYC it just feels like endless rain, BUT spring and summer are very comfortable and during fall and winter its mostly overcast skies so things look a little gloomy.
I picked UW due to its diversity, its size and its location (city!)...and programs etc...
