<p>I have pretty stellar recs and (what I believe is) a very good essay. Tell me whether these schools are reaches, matches, or safety's</p>

Columbia - Reach
Yale - High Reach (because it is a high reach for everyone…)
SF State - Safety
USC - Low Match/Safety?</p>

<p>Have you run net price calculators for all these schools to make sure they are affordable?</p>

<p>Yeah, I’ve been saving up since I was two…I have plenty of money for most of them, and I have gotten many large scholarships including being a National Merit Scholar.</p>

UCLA is NOT a safety haha.
NYU, UCLA, USC match</p>

<p>EC activities not stellar… so NW, Columbia, and Yale are slight reach.</p>

<p>But then again the URM thing is going to help tremendously

<p>Do you have any idea what NYU costs? You need to run the calculators. Plus, at many top colleges, NMF doesn’t mean squat financially. Unless you are a Jack Kent Cooke scholar or something, you need to check out the actual costs using the calculators.</p>

<p>And… NW and Yale are not even close to the same league in terms of admission. OP is in good shape (maybe high match) for NW. Yale is very, very, very hard to get into. It isn’t a ‘slight reach’.</p>
